The Reversing element is approx. 10 minutes, a right to left exercise across the preconfigured test area, keeping a static cone on your right hand side and then manoeuvring your vehicle and trailer combination into a loading bay and stopping with the rear of the vehicle within six inches of the rear barrier.

Coupling and uncoupling

Carried out at the end of the practical on road driving element of the test, this is a predetermined sequence for the correct way to connect or unhitch any trailer. The emphasis is always with regard to vehicle and trailer safety and this subject is practised whilst training until you are happy with the result.

Just Like Taking Your Driving Test

To pass category B+E the syllabus is the same content as a large vehicle licence, like taking your driving test again but this time with a vehicle and trailer combination. Not as bad as it sounds as the emphasis is on control, safety, and demonstration of on road driving skills already developed?

Towing Courses Designed For All Drivers

Our courses are designed for all drivers with different levels of driving skills and experience, from the total novice who has never towed before or for the driver with varying levels of experience or even for a refresher practice for those that only get to practice their reversing prowess once in a while or indeed annually if you are caravanning for your leisure activities.
